Bye Bye Baby - Jersey Boys Ends its Run at Broadway Palm
That’s a wrap! Jersey Boys has concluded at the Broadway Palm in Fort Myers, Florida, and I’m back in NYC; ready for the next adventure. I couldn’t be more grateful for my time there. I got to see a plethora of family members, some of which I hadn’t seen in over a year, made several friends that I can’t wait to keep in touch with, and had the chance to do what I love most… PERFORM! In addition to my main track as Hank/Others, I had the opportunity to cover Nick Massi and fill in for him during a couple rehearsals. Towards the end of our contract, some cast members came down with Covid, and I was asked to cover Gyp and Bob Crewe as well, in the event that more cases spiked. Luckily, nobody else got sick, but it was still a great opportunity getting to dive into those other roles and learn them “just in case.”
Jersey Boys is such a fun show with music that brings everyone together. Getting to see the joy on every audience members face thrilled me and was extremely rewarding. Seeing some of the younger viewers so enthralled and inspired filled my heart with happiness, remembering a once young Kyle sitting as an audience member too and being so amazed by the talent and performers on stage. My favorite interaction was a teenage boy playing air guitar with us as we played ours on stage. I know that performance meant the world to him, and knowing that means the world to me. It’s part of why I love performing, and I cannot wait to see what’s next for me on my theatrical journey.
